rookie mistake 基本错误：就像一个没有经验的人会犯的错误
to teasing yourself or someone else about mistake . you can be rookie at something as a Pro, in some area you have little experience so you make a beginner's mistake.
eg, What a rookie mistake! 犯了低级错误
It's was a rookie mistake to leave passport at home when traveling abroad.
That was a rookie mistake not turn on microphone .
She make a rookie mistake today, but it's ok she's brand-new at her job, she will learn.
2. a blunder 犯大错
hot mic, you were speaking and didn't realized the microphone was on .
通常用于描述在不知情的情况下，麦克风仍然开启并捕捉到不应该被听到的谈话
The politician didn't realized there was a hot mic and accidentally revealed his true thoughts.
3. a slip-up, 一个疏忽,出纰漏 a mistake in self-control 自己能把控的失误
eg, The players are all very keen to show this was just a slip-up .
4. silly me 我真傻
eg Silly me, what was I thinking? I was sharing a Coke when I should have been sharing my thanks in a printed internal document to the employee's manager.

it's ok, i have made many slip-ups in my day . ( try to make you feel better, in my day means in my ten years of working in that coffee shop)
