But actually you need to hold the perfume bottle about five to seven inches away from your skin, to allow for even distribution of the fragrance mist. Avoid rubbing the perfume into your skin as it can alter the scent.

So I started to buy a lot of different candles. And I noticed the smell that I like is actually also tobacco. But it's called 旧皮革 and 烟草 old leather and tabacco. But perfumes are different. Perfumes can last for a very long time just like what we mentioned just now. Because it has three notes, top, heart, and base notes.

Usually the top notes are the initial scents you smell, usually light and fresh, like citrus or fruity. They create the first impression and set the tone for the fragrance. And they evaporate quickly.
前调就是你最先闻到的那个味道,通常会比较轻盈而且清新。譬如柑橘或者果香,它们负责创造第一印象,为整个香氛定调。但是呢,前调很快就会挥发掉。
那就好像刚才Wing你说的,你一进去商场里面,你全都闻到那些很香的那些什么花香啊,对吧?还有一些柑橘香,其实就是因为它的前调就是这样子。别人一喷,它就是那个味道。

And the second layer is called heart notes. It forms the core and last for several hours, often balanced with floral, spicy, or herbal scents like lavender or rose. They provide fullness and complexity.
那中调呢,就是香水的核心部分,可以持续数小时。通常是与花香啊,以及一些草本香味,如薰衣草或玫瑰香平衡。那它们为香水提供了丰富性和复杂性。
The last part is base notes. They are rich and long-lasting, often woody, musky, or earthy. And it anchors the fragrance and provides depth.

六神花露水 Six God Perfume. I don't know if that kind has a perfume. But it's a very strong smell.

Yeah. And also right now there's another thing. It's Anti-Mosquito Spray. They have a very, very, very strong smell.

I went for a hike this weekend. And my hike mates sprayed all over her with that spray, the anti-mosquito spray. So basically, wherever she goes, I know. Because it was so strong. She just passed by. And then that smell stayed there.
Oh. It's like a mark.

And a lot of people probably think that smell is from lemongrass. But that smell is actually something called citrosa. Because that is the real plant that you can use to get rid of mosquitoes and bugs. That smell does all the tricks. It's similar to lemongrass. But not exactly. But if you have the plant, you know that smell. You can recognize it. I have it before in the office. But I'm a plant killer. So it didn't survive.
Sad. Yeah, but you have a really good point. Because I think the mosquitoes are very rampant in the tropical areas. That's why the people use the tropical plants to repel the mosquitoes. That makes sense.
Yeah. So I learned that when I was in the States, some people use that Citrosa. They even call it mosquito repellent. So it works if you make that smell all around you. And I know a lot of anti-mosquito spray is based on that.

第二类型的香水,它叫淡香精,大概含有十到二十个percent的香精油,也是比较受欢迎的类型之一。它提供比较强的香味,持续大概是八个小时左右,在强度和持久性之间取得了一个比较好的平衡。那比较出名的像有迪奥的这个品牌有真我,迪奥小姐,或者有香奈儿的蔚蓝男士,这些都是这个类型的香水。
嗯,所以我们有时候看到那个EDP,其实就是这个Eau de Parfum

And then the other one, it's slightly lighter, it's called Eau de Toilette. So with a concentration of about 5% to 15%, it's lighter and more refreshing than EDP, Eau de Parfum. It typically lasts for 4 to 7 hours, making it suitable for everyday wear and warmer climates. You can also find like the Dior Salvage, CK one or CK be.
第三种类型就是浓度大约在五到十五个percent的淡香水,它比淡香精更清爽一点,通常能持续四到七个小时,比较适合是平常日常的佩戴和在温暖气候里面喷这个香水。那例子的话是有迪奥的旷野淡香水，以及CK这个品牌的one and be,像CK那个牌子的话，其实它都比较中性。就是男性用也可以，女性用也可以。我记得我当时大学的时候不太懂事，然后就很喜欢买买买嘛，那当时就随便看到有一个打折的就买了一瓶CK one，后来发现其实那个味道还挺中性的，就是男香也行，女香也行，而且它性价比很高，就可能比较适合大学生来送礼

And then the next one is called Eau de Galonne. It has a lower concentration, usually between 2% to 4%. It offers a light fresh scent that lasts for about 2 to 3 hours, ideal for a quick refresh. Like a very famous perfume called Jo Malone Wild Bluebell and 4711 Aqua colonia Blood Orange & Brazil.
第四种类型也就是古龙水,其实古龙水不应该单纯是说男性香水,古龙水是香水的一个类型,那它代表的就是浓度会相对比较低,通常在百分之二到四之间。它提供比较清新的香味,持续时间大约是两到三个小时,适合快速的提神。那例子就会有像祖马龙蓝风铃,以及刚才提到的4711爽露系列雪城罗勒
And the other one is really rare because I've never seen that before. It's called Eau Fraîche. It has the lowest concentration, typically under 3%. It provides a very subtle scent that lasts for a very short period, usually 1 to 2 hours, similar to body sprays or mists like the Chanel Chance or Fraîche. 还有一种第五种就是比较少见的,叫做清新水。它浓度是最低，通常在3%以下，它提供非常微妙的香味，持续时间也很短，通常会一到两个小时，类似于身体喷雾或者类似雾状的一个东西。那比较经典就是香奈儿的邂逅清新淡香水。
